Discover Samana Bay

After breakfast, in due time we will ride to Salto del Limón, where we will enjoy a buffet lunch, and later we will ride a horse to reach the incredible El Limón waterfall, a waterfall more than 40 meters high that falls in a natural pool where you can take a refreshing swim after the walk. Its access is along the road to Las Terrenas, near the town of El Limón. The ride can be done either on horseback or on foot, and usually takes between thirty and forty minutes to arrive. This tour takes place in a pleasant environment surrounded by coconut trees that thicken shortly before reaching the place. The excursion is operated by Local Guides, the guides carry by the hand horses the entire way, a community project that we support, in due time we will be transported to the Hotel in Samaná where we will have Dinner + night activity.

Today after breakfast we will depart by catamaran to Los Haitises, covering an area of 1,600 km², Los Haitises National Park is one of the jewels of the national park system of the Dominican Republic. Los Haitises, which translates to “mountainous land” in the Taíno language, attracts many visitors who come here by boat to see its magnificent series of rock formations rising out of the water.

The park also has lush mangroves along its bay, which is adorned with keys home to multiple bird colonies and a series of caves known for having the largest number of petroglyphs and pictographs in the country. We will enter Cano Hondo for Buffet lunch and enjoy the natural pools. In due time we will return to Samaná for Dinner and Hotel Accommodation, in the evening we will have Karaoke.

Excursion Los Haitises and Cano Hondo 7 hours 🛏️ Hotel Hacienda Samana Bay

After Breakfast, we will leave by Catamaran in search of the Famous Humpback Whales (January – March), our specialized guide will take us for whale watching (approx. 2h30min) We will return to Cayo Levantado where we will enjoy a spectacular Lunch. Cayo Levantado, also known as “Bacardi Island” is a islet in the bay of Samaná, which administratively belongs to the Province of Samaná. It is a well-known and visited tourist destination. It is around 1 kilometer long. It has humid forest vegetation and white sand beaches. You will have the options to choose to dive, snorkel or have a piña colada on the beach. In the afternoon, we will return to the Hotel for dinner and accommodation.

Today after Breakfast, we will have the option to rest and enjoy the facilities of Our hotel, which has a privileged view of the imposing bay of Samaná, spend the day on the terrace with 2 swimming pools and a Lounge bar. At the hotel we will have lunch and dinner.
