At tonight’s Welcome Reception, you will meet your travel companions, followed by Dinner at ”El Conuco”, a Typical Dominican Restaurant where we will enjoy Dominican food and culture!! We will explore the Colonial City, the first European settlement in the Americas and declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1990, it is a recommended experience for all travelers.
This historic neighborhood consists of a labyrinth of narrow streets filled with architectural wonders ranging from the 16th century to the early 20th century. Today we will travel to Jarabacoa, its name is due to the Taíno Indians who lived there before the arrival of the Spanish; That’s what they called it, whose name means “land of water sources.” The beginning of our ecological experience, we can enjoy the multiple ecological and adventure activities that are organized, such as Rafting, Paragliding, hiking, etc.
Or simply enjoy the tranquility and symphony of Nature. In the morning, we will visit Café Monte Alto where the entire coffee manufacturing process will be explained to us, followed by a typical buffet lunch at the “El Buen Sabor” restaurant, and then we will visit the Confluencia and Café Colao to finally arrive at our River Club Hotel for dinner and accommodation.

After Breakfast, we will continue HEADING TO Santiago de los Caballeros, the second largest city in the Dominican Republic, the head municipality of the province of Santiago and the main metropolitan center of the northern region, or Cibao. It was founded in 1495 during the first wave of Spanish colonization of the New World as the “First Santiago de América.”
It is located in the north-central region of the country known as Cibao Valley, about 155 km northwest of Santo Domingo and at an average altitude of 178 meters above sea level. With a total area of 612 km21, Santiago de los Caballeros is one of the main economic, financial, political, social and cultural centers of the Dominican Republic.
It is also an important industrial center for the rum, textile, cigar and tobacco industries. Footwear, leather goods and furniture factories are an important part of the economic life of the region and the country. In the morning, we will visit The Monument of the Heroes and Tamboril, the Capital of tobacco. We will have lunch at Dona Pula typical Dominican food, then we will visit Los Pepines where we will dance to the Son of KEKA, finally we will arrive in San José de las Matas for dinner and accommodation at the Riviera Campo Verde Hotel.

Today after breakfast, we will have a small reforestation section and recycling workshop in the facilities of Hacienda Campo Verde, here you will receive the eco conscience part off our tour. After the lunch, we will visit the Miraculous Chapel and the Aguas Calientes eco-tourism project, where we will enjoy the hot springs and the Bao River.
San José de Las Matas, located in the Central Mountain Range of the Country, the most important mountainous area of the country, and which has the highest points of the Caribbean, The Duarte Peak reaches out at 3175 meters.
It has an area of 1,505.9 km², which makes it the largest municipality in the country. It limits to the north with the municipality of Santiago and the province of Valverde, to the south with the province of San Juan, to the east with the municipality of Jánico and to the west with the province of Santiago Rodríguez. San José de las Matas, was a kind of natural hospital because many people from different parts of the country came to it in search of well-being, especially those with tuberculosis. Horacio Vásquez was the first President of the Republic to take up residence in San José de las Matas. When Trujillo assumed power in 1930, he became interested in that mansion and perfected it to his liking. In 1932 he lived there for six months. It is believed that Trujillo had symptoms of tuberculosis. By decree he declared San José de las Matas the seat of the Executive Branch. On December 3, 1932, in that mansion, Flor de Oro Trujillo, daughter of President (Dictator) Trujillo, married Porfirio Rubirosa.
San José de las Matas has an excellent climate, with 2 short dry seasons and two rainy seasons that last most of the year. The average annual temperature is 24.1C (75.38 F) in the day and an average minimum temperature at night is 18.5C (65.3 F). At the end of the afternoon, we will return to the Hotel for Dinner and Overnight at the Riviera Campo Verde Hotel.

After breakfast, we will go to Punta Rucia, one of paradises on the northern coast of the Dominican Republic. Its crystal clear waters, which come from Isabela Bay houses enormous coral settlements, along with a great abundance of different marine species.
Among the different activities that can be done on the beach, are the practice of water sports such as diving or snorkeling.
Besides, Punta Rucia beach has a privileged position, since nearby is Cayo Arena, an impressive settlement of white sand, in whose waters are perfect for water activities such as diving or snorkeling since they are home to a rich underwater ecosystem. Nor can we leave aside the Estero Hondo lagoon, where large flocks of wild birds stop. The lagoon is located within the Estero Hondo manatee national park, where you can observe the beauty of these animals.
Without a doubt, Punta Rucia is one of the small paradises that you cannot miss on your visit to the Dominican Republic. We will have an excursion to Cayo Arena and The Mangroves including a Buffet of Typical Food from the Area. At time, we will take a route to Puerto Plata for dinner and accommodation at our all-inclusive hotel.

After breakfast, we will move to Puerto Plata’s most precious adventure treasure, the 27 Charcos de Damajagua waterfalls offer a full day of hiking through thick forests, crossing bridges and discovering Dominican flora and fauna.
We will reach the rocky top of a hill from where you will begin your journey down, jumping or sliding through a series of waterfalls. Safety equipment is necessary while you slide down padded water slides, or jump into deep turquoise pools. After a Typical Lunch, we will return to the Hotel for Dinner and Accommodation in our All Inclusive Resort Hotel.

It is simply an AMAZING EXPERIENCE… We escaped the hot summer beaches of PUNTA CANA… just to enjoy the cool rivers in the mountains and the mild climate of Jarabacoa and San José de Las Matas. We thank all the staff and guides who made us feel like family. We really enjoyed the local food, the best breakfast is (Los 3 Golpes), the Hotels are first class and the excursions are very fun and educational. We will definitely return for another tour.
